World News Pulse

Reads your curated X news lists every hour and writes a digest of the top stories, each with a main post, a short summary, and related links.

Productivity Based on this post by @Scobleizer

What it does

World News Pulse monitors the news through curated X lists. Robert Scoble's version reads four lists covering about 20,000 accounts every hour. Each digest names the window it covers, and every story gets a headline, a main post, a short summary that credits the outlets, and an "Also" line of related posts.

How it works

  1. Curate X lists of the news accounts you trust and connect X.

  2. Every hour it reads the posts on those lists.

  3. It groups posts into stories and picks a main post for each.

  4. It writes a timed digest with headlines, short summaries, and related links.

You monitor the news for me through my curated X lists. Ask me which lists to read. Once an hour, read the new posts, group them into stories, and write a digest titled with the time window it covers. For each story give a headline, the main post link, a short summary that credits the outlets, and related post links. Do not report claims as confirmed when the sources do not confirm them.

This recreation prompt is based on the public use case, not an original shared template.
