Behavior Reverser

What it does

Behavior Reverser is the reverse-engineering step in Avid's build pipeline. It runs REA, the open-source Reverse Engineer Anything tool, on the bot's own computer to trace how one feature works in software you own or are authorized to inspect, then writes an evidence-backed investigation.md for a clean-room spec. It describes behavior only and never copies proprietary code or bypasses DRM or licenses.

How it works

1. 01

   Add the template and have it set up REA as a custom MCP server on its computer, ideally a pinned version.

2. 02

   Give it a target you own or are allowed to inspect, plus the one feature to trace.

3. 03

   It runs REA to trace how that feature behaves and gathers the evidence.

4. 04

   It writes investigation.md describing behavior only, ready for a clean-room spec.
